Jiu jitsu is a martial art and combat sport where practitioners aim to control someone and eventually submit them. An iconic symbol of Jiu Jitsu is the gi that practitioners wear (also known as a kimono). Over time, there have been many great Jiu Jitsu athletes, but there are a select number who stand above the rest.
This following will highlight some of these practitioners, in no specific order, and is subjective as everyone will have their own opinions on who should be on this list. We created this list in an unbiased manner and based the criteria of ranking off of a number of factors, the main one being competition accomplishments.
